Coperni has taken fashion innovation to new heights with their Aerogel Air Swipe Bag, a remarkable creation that is essentially a bag made almost entirely of air. This futuristic accessory is the brainchild of designers Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant, in collaboration with scientist Ioannis Michalous, and is part of their Fall 2024 collection.
The fashion house is no stranger to creating buzzworthy moments. Their previous show in Paris ended with a live demonstration of a dress being created on Bella Hadid, which became an instant internet sensation. Now, they’ve introduced a bag that’s as light as air, literally, with NASA’s technology.
The bag is crafted from Aerogel, a material composed mostly of air, with a structure so light it’s been dubbed “blue smoke.” It’s the largest object ever made from this extraordinary substance, which looks like a floating cloud and is a thousand times less dense than glass.
The Air Swipe Bag is just one part of Coperni’s space-themed collection, which includes cosmic-inspired fashion like starry stilettos and UFO heels. It’s a bold step for both fashion and technology, showing that Coperni, much like NASA, is always looking ahead.
